Hardcover. 8vo 5.25" x 9.25 ", folding sales sample book of dyed leather using various dyes produced by this company. 72 samples - 8 per page. Samples in very good condition. The text areas opposite the samples are dark from age and exposure to the leather. Covers and binding good or better, but age toned and soiled from exposure, contents also very good but but with the browning of the text mentioned. Overall, a good to very good copy. This was, almost certainly, produced in Germany- no date given estimating ca. 1910. Text in Deutsch and English. Meister Lucius Bruning is the maker of the dyes- this book has the USA company Victor Koechl of New York printed in English and an ink stamp for H. A. Metz Co. of New York on the front cover. Evidently, Metz took over from Koechl. Good +. Item #14486
