Hardcover. 8vo 5.25" x 9 ", folding sales sample book in 2 pieces- of dyed yarn and fabric samples- presumably, cotton, samples using various brown dyes produced by this company. samples - 8 per page. with total of 40 of , browns 3 pages with yarn and 2 pages with fabric swatchs, plus one page with 6 samples of thread dyed and treated to make some white. Samples in good to very good condition. Covers and binding fair - good condition with moderate soiling and age toning of paper- fair condition because the last 2 pages are separated from the first 3 pages. Overall, a good copy with good or better samples. This was, almost certainly, produced in Germany- printed date March, 1901 on cover. Text in Deutsch and English. Meister Lucius Bruning is the maker of the dyes- this book has the USA company Victor Koechl of New York printed in English and an ink stamp for H. A. Metz Co. of New York on the front cover. Evidently, Metz took over from Koechl. Good. Item #14490
