Hardcover. 8vo , thick volume labeled Number 1, but no others were published - There history covered appears to be up to 1869, ca. 6" x 9" half bound in brown leather with black pebbled cloth covered boards with some gilt decoration and moderately heavy wear, appears that backstrip was partly detached from front hinge at one time and has been repaired by glue, contents age toned, but generally very good with pp. xxiv, then 17- 712 with many b&w illustrations and maps. Overall, binding not quite good and contents very good or better. There is Ink name written on front endpaper and note "with Author's Compliments" Shipping outside the USA may cost more than an average book. Priority shipping may cost more as well. Good +.
