Most are people - family, business people, people he met, or would like to have met. A few pecil notes or marks found inside. Overall, fair binding, contents very good, and a scarce book. Howes W659 states he was a steamboat captain and later a finance person in Cairo, IL. Note: due to size and weight, shipping outside the USA may cost more than that of an average book. Good.
