The Great American CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION PUZZLE BLOCKS in Sectional Part

New York: George H. Chinook, 1875. First Edition. Soft cover. Large wood box- ca. 12" x 22" with printed paper label on top cover showing image of the Art Gallery, contents are 5 puzzles showing different buildings of the Centennial Exhibition in 1876. There are also 5 color printed sheets showing the buildings to aid as a guide in assembling the puzzles. The puzzle pieces are wook with paper images glued to them. The box is in poor to fair condition with moderately heavy wear and soiling and some damp staining, the contents are generally good with all parts present- maybe one or two pieces are replacements or with repair by an earlier owner. The puzzles have been partly assembled by an earlier owner and wraped in some plastic to hold parts together and make them easier to view. Overall, a fair to good set, but scarce survivor.
