Punch 1861 (Abraham Lincoln plate)

London: Punch, 1861. Hardcover. This is volume XL for 1861 with issues bound together in half tan polished calf with tan cloth covered boards. The binding is generally good except the backstrip is heavily worn and there are tears along the joints that extend about an inch from the top and about four inches from the bottom front with plastic tape repairs. The contents are generally very good with plenty of b&w illustrations. This volume is most often sought after for the full page plate of Abraham Lincoln bemoaning his situation. There are plenty of interesting items including a poem about Darwin and evolution. overseas shipping will be more expensive due to the size of the volume. Good / No Jacket. Item #2687
