A List of Geographical Atlases in the Library of Congress (4 first edition volumes I,II,III, IV)
Washington DC: Library of Congress, 1909. First Edition. Hardcover. Tall octavo or short quarto, 4 first edition volumes of this monumental work uniformly bound in maroon color cloth, formerly from the Exploers Club with their lbrary markings- some inside and some outside with some removed from the outside. Volumes 1-4 were published 1909-1920 by the Library of Congress and there are bookplates indicating these were given to the Club by the LOC. The volumes show varying amounts of wear from shelving and handling and are all in fair to good or perhaps a little better condition. NOT present here are the later Volumes 5 - 9 assembled by Le Gear and published in 1958, 1963, 1973, 1974 and 1992. note: due weight of the volumes shipping outside the USA or priority shipping will be more expensive than an average book.
