Quarto, bound in original cloth covered board with moderate wear, x- library copy, though NOT a lending library, bookplate of library and deaccession stamp on front pastedown, libray numbers on spine, top of book very dusty, contents near fine. Volumes 1-4 were originally published in the early 1900's and compliled by P. Lee Phillips. Volumes 5 - 9 were compiled by Clara LeGear and published in Washington by the Library of Congress in 1958, 1963, 1973, 1974 and 1992. These volumes form the single most important reference work on atlases - containing descriptions of more than 18,000 atlases! note: due weight of the volume overseas shipping may be more expensive than an average book.
