A Map of Germany Divided into its Circles by John Blair as a Supplement to His Tables of Chronology (map only)

London: Blaeu family, 1768. Early Edition. unbound. folding map ca. 22.4" x 16.7", on paper a bit larger ca. 25.8 " x 17.7, folding to ca. 11x 17.7 with 2 folds", undated but ca. 1768, no printed text on back side, paper is age toned, some dirt around the edges, map area generally bright with very good color, though dulled some by the paper aging, Overall, very good copy. Origin of the map its not certain. Kitchen is listed as sculpter , Blair as creator of the map. There was a work published in 1768 by Blair and Kitchen which contained maps ca. the size of this one, thus, it is inferred to come from that work. It is possible that it is a later re-production, because it is in such good condition, howver, such an effort seems unlikely to be worthwhile. For shipping, map will likely be rolled into tube or suitable box. Note: due to size and weight, shipping outside the USA may be more expensive than an average book. Very good. Item #3697

Price: $170.00
