London: Edward Stanford, 1857. Disbound. map area ca. 12.2"x 15.3" on paper sheet ca. 14" x 16.7" , paper age toned - more so around the edges, faint dampstain at lower right and upper left corners. Stated that this map was produced for the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. There are no obvious fold marks or clear evidence that this was removed from an atlas, but it, likely, was. An earlier owner estimated date at 1845- with a pencil note on the back, this seems early but possible. A verty similar version- with Walker as engraver- did appear in an 1857 Stanford atlas. Overall, good to very good copy. Due to size, this may be rolled and shipped in a tube - especially for international shipping. Good + / No Jacket. Item #3801
