Cloth. octavo bound in original purple cloth covered boards with white lettering on covers and back, spine title is worn off, but impression of title in German is legible, inside is a booklet pasted to the front pastedown with the title in German, English and French. booklet in in German and has 39 pages. Its cover is torn but without loss of text. The bulk of the book is a fold out set of pages containing 280 spectacularly colored samples of silk thread. The book has the number "I.G. 399/C." in a few places. This is probably the catalog number. There is no date noted in the book. A guess is 1950, but it could be pre-war. The company was formed in 1925 and split up in 1951. Overall very good or better copy. Very good +. Item #4101
