Paris: Massin, 1914. First Edition. Hardcover. folio, 62 loose plates housed in an old portfolio. X- Library. Portfoilo is heavily worn marbled paper on boards with a number of old repairs. Contents are 62 plates about a quqrter with nice color and rest b & w. Small library stamps on edge of some plates and lending pocket at rear. One plate has old tape repairs that encroach on the images. Plates somewhat brittle from age with many chips of paper missing from around the edges. They are somewhat soiled around the edges from handling, but still a very attractive set. Text is in French, most of which is on a few pages of introduction and list of plates. Overall, portfolio is fair, plates generally good but with chips from the edges as noted and x- lib. Note: due to size and weight, shipping outside the USA or priority shipping will probably be more expensive than an average book. Fair. Item #4268
