Half morocco. 16mo, 2 volumes, bound in half black morocco with marbled paper covered boards, heavily worn, but binding still sound, some gilt on spines with numbers 153 and 154 as well. The meaning of the numbers is unclear -there are no indications these were ever circulated. The contents are generally very good but with light foxing and browning throughout and a light dampstain at the upper left of the books. There are two plates in each volume and vignettes in each. PP. 173, 170. Scarce copies of versions of the travels for juvenile readers. Good. Item #4534
