Camera Studies in Iraq (annotated)
Baghdad: A. Kerim and Hasso Bros. 1925. First Edition. Hardcover. Oblong quarto, ca. 10" x 12", string bound in original (apparently) crocodile skin covered boards with moderate wear and soiling but in good condition . Contents aged darkened with brown spotting but with all 73 sepia tone images of photographic origin being present, an earlier owner has strengthened the binding of the pages using glued rings as used in photo albums. This copy is unusal due to contemporary annotations carefully written on many pages of places visited. The images of street scenes and people are not generally annotated. Publication date is not noted inside and date of the annotations is also not given, but estimate 1930 for the visitor. (5317) Generally a good copy.
