Hardcover. oblong folio ca. 11" x 14", photo album, string bound in original black cloth covered boards with heavy wear, front cover detached, Black paper pages quite brittle from age and many are detached and most have chips missing. No statement about the photographer is found. However, one image states "yours truly by The Gal" ( The Gal being the name of a plane. The photographs are ca. 3." x 4" or 3.5" x 5.5" and 3 or 4 to a page withTotal of 94 photographs. Toward the back are a few pages of photos of th 40th Bomb Group - thre of what appears to be a B-29 and one person Identified as George Burton, - a history of the 40th lists a George Burton from Martinsville, VA, some images of barracks. Photos generally good condition, album poor. Note: due to size and weight, shipping outside the USA will be more expensive than an average book. Good. Item #5385
