Hardcover. folio, ca. 11" x 12.5" , pp. 368 quarterbound in black leather with brown cloth covered boards, the rear hinge is split, but cover still attached, corners heavily bumped- it is a heavy book. X- library copy, but scarce, library bookplate , some numbers on back strip, some ink stamps inside and some perforated library identifiers spread through the book, but, fortunately, they are not placed obnoxiously. Contents are a remarkable collection of high quality b&w plates and lots of other b&w illustrations. The full page plates generally have text on the other side of the page. Information on-line suggest that an 1883 volume was also produced. Binding fair, contents very good, but x- library. Note, due to size and weight, shipping outside the USA or priority shipping will be more expensive than an average book. Good. Item #6373
