Hardcover. quarto, 4 volumes uniformly bound in original blue pebbled cloth covered boards with moderate wear, light soiling and varying age fading, one inner joint is broken, but bindings still sturdy, corners bumped. Part 3 has ink stamps in two places for an institutional library but other volumes do not. Numerous illustrations throughout all the volumes of information about sea life related to fur seals, their lives, illnesses, habits and the hunting of them. Also many high quality maps of seal areas from California to Kamchatka. Overall a good set. Note: due to size and weight shipping outside the USA or priority shipping will be more expensive. Good.
