Hardcover. 12mo or short octavo, rebound in quarter light green cloth with marbled paper covered boards with light to moderate wear, binding very good. Contents generally good- the paper is age toned and there is light scattered foxing. There are stains on a few pages and a few pages have old repairs, there are damp stains near the foredge on the title page and first several pages, but by page 10 these are not noticeable, pp. vii,( there may be a half title page missing) ,1- 480. Overall , a good copy. A book by James Basket about Santo Domingo was published in English, before this book, and this French edition is called a new edition and has some material added.
