Hardcover. two thick quarto volumes, ca. 8" x 10.5" beautifully bound in half red leather with red cloth covered boards , all edgesedges bright gilt, backstrip of vol. 1 detached but present, bindings quite strurdy. Covers with light to moderate wear, back stip of vol. 2 with heavier wear. Contents generally very good, some age toning of paper, scatterted foxing noted- lots of illustrations - nearly all being images of famous people in the county. pp. viii,[map], 740 for vol. 1, viii, 827 for vol. 2. Overall a very good copies inside but needing a repair for the one backstrip. No owner names or bookplates noted. Shipping outside the USA should cost much more an average book.
