London: N.P., 1875. Early Edition. Disbound. five large old photographs of the 4 locomotives - each measuring ca. 10.5" x 13.75" one copy of each but there are 2 views of "Puffing Billy" plus 3 measuring ca. 9.75" x 11.75" of "Novelty", "Rocket", and "Watt's Sun and Planet Engine" . There are separate printed slips of paper with text describing each locomotive or engibne. The two "Rocket" images show different versions of the locomotive. There is some residue of glue or tape on the backs which suggest these were once in some sort of book or possibly hung on a wall. They are a bit warped. Paper clips were once used to keep the text with each photo and there are some indentations and rust marks due to these, though they are not severe. No publisher is stated on either the photos or the text slips. It seems likely they were taken at a UK Science and Technology Museum- perhaps the London Science Museum. There is no date, but estimate 1860- 1880 based on the photo materials. Good. Item #9067

Price: $104.00
