South Framingham, Pittsfield: Caxton Society of The United States, 1908. First Edition. Hardcover. tall octavo, leather bound copies of the first 6 issues of this series of "Little Masterpieces". Brown leather blind stamped with image of Caxton and titles very attractively placed as well. The 6 issues from series A are bound inside retaining their original stiff paper wraps. Inside is a beautifully printed plate with name "Harold A. Holmes a Printer" on it. Written below is "Compliments of the Librarian". Holmes is listed as the Librarian of the Caxton Society of the United States. Each of the 6 brochures is attractively produced and they are bound together here in this leather cover. The Leather shows moderate darkening and wear from age and some use. The contents are dark around the edges- probably from eposure. No publication dates are noted, but one advertisement has date of 1908. We are calling this a hard cover set, but the leather is not attached to boards, so it is soft. Very good. Item #9595
